Girls competing for title of Miss Boulder City

The Miss Boulder City pageant plans to award $15,000 in scholarships May 30 when the girls compete on the Boulder City High School Auditorium stage. The event begins at 6 p.m.

Since this year's competition began in February, the 13 girls have been involved in fundraising to earn the money for the scholarship fund.

Events have included bake sales, a rummage sale and car wash.

This year the pageant also introduced Bouldercityopoly, a game featuring Boulder City businesses. It is being sold for $25 at businesses featured in the game.

Admission to the pageant is $10. All funds go directly to the scholarships awarded.

Jennifer Adams

Miss On Target Media, Jennifer is the daughter of Ian Adams and Susan Thompson. She will attend Nevada State College to major in elementary education.

Amanda Beard

Miss Wellness 2000, Amanda is a junior at Boulder City High. She is the daughter of Peggy and Donald Beard, and plans on a teaching career.

Caitlin Beard

Miss Historic Boulder Theatre, Caitlin is a freshman at Boulder City High and plans on a nursing career.

Leah Branstetter

Miss Marshall Construction, Leah is a senior at Boulder City High and the daughter of Dave and Linda Branstetter will attend the Art Institute of San Diego.

Michelle Coe

Miss Boulder Dam Credit Union, is a senior at Boulder City High and the daughter of Harold and Karen Coe. She plans to attend the University of Arizona in Tucson.

Alexas Cota

Miss Periwinkle Cottage, Alexas, the daughter of Sherry and Robert Cota, is a junior at Boulder City High. She plans on majoring in sports medicine.

Julia Jeppsen

Miss Home Hardware, Julia, the daughter of Jody and John Jeppsen, is a senior at Boulder City High and will attend Brigham Young University majoring in pre-med.

Alexandra Keogh

Miss Dance Etc, Alexandra is a senior at Boulder City High and the daughter of Justin Keogh. She plans on attending Cambridge University with a career in microbiology.

Jessica Pardinas

Miss Boulder Dam Credit Union, Jessica is the daughter of Jorge and Marisa Pardinas. She will attend UNLV majoring in criminal justice.

Jenna Rassuchine

Miss Milo's Best Cellars, Jenna is the daughter of Kym and Brad Rassuchine. She is a junior at Boulder City High and plans on majoring in pre-med.

Dawniel Selvig

Miss Lake Mead Area Realty, Dawniel is the daughter of Tage and Cynthia Harris. She is a junior at Boulder City High and plans to become an emergency room nurse.

Cally Stanton

Miss State Farm Insurance, Cally is a senior at Boulder City High and the daughter of Olaf and Kirshun Stanton. She will attend the Art Institute of Las Vegas majoring in interior design.

Elizabeth Wrightsman

Miss BC Realty, Elizabeth is a senior at Boulder City High and the daughter of Aaron and Shannan Wrightsman. She will be attending the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, and majoring in nursing.
