If you’re partying with Tiësto this weekend and want to buy the Dutch DJ a drink to show your appreciation, listen up: The 40-year-old club kid-at-heart has a refined palate and drinking routine that starts with champagne and ends with Cabernet Sauvignon.
Long story short: Don’t send the acclaimed DJ-producer a bottle of Bud.
Tiësto shared his drinking doctrine in advance of his Memorial Day Weekend in Las Vegas.
“When it’s the beginning of the night and I’m still really sober, I drink a glass of champagne. Then, when I want to kick into next gear, I take a Jager shot, Jägermeister,” he said.
When it comes to the main event, however, he explained it’s all about the vodka-apple juice.
“When I want to maintain long, I go vodka-apple juice,” he said.
And the time finally come to bid the night adieu, he does so with a nice glass of red wine, preferably a cab-sauv.
Yet he said when it comes right down to it, “Anything with alcohol in it is good.”
Proost.
Tiësto plays tonight at Jet and tomorrow at the Bank. Tickets for both shows start at $75 and the parties start at 10:30 p.m.
