Wine and ice cubes may sound like a cocktail gone terribly awry, but this refreshing elixir from Progressive Bar's Mark Kiyojima based on Rock 'n' Roll Wine's own Reggae Rhapsody Napa Valley white-wine blend couldn't be more refreshing.

I used to cringe when my Nana would add ice cubes to her wine, but in this heat, I can’t imaging anything more refreshing. Saturday night I caught up with Progressive Bar’s Mark Kiyojima, about his Reggae Sunsplash, which he custom built around Rock ’n’ Roll Wine’s own Reggae Rhapsody Napa Valley white-wine blend.

Ingredients:

2 oz. Reggae Rhapsody

1 oz. Appleton Jamaican

White Rum

2 each, limes and lemons (quartered, seeds removed)

2 tsp. organic sugar

1-2 dashes Angostura Aromatic Bitters

Method:

Muddle two wedges each of lime and lemon in a mixing glass with sugar. Add wine, rum, bitters and ice; shake and dou ble-strain into a fresh glass over ice. Add two slices of strawberry.
