Natalie Cole has a kidney transplant Tuesday, forcing the cancellation of her planned concert at the M Resort this weekend.
Cole, a 10-time Grammy Award winner, had been undergoing dialysis three times a week for the past nine months while awaiting a new kidney.
The daughter of the legendary Nat "King" Cole was scheduled to perform in concert Saturday, kicking off the resort’s concert series.
A spokesperson said she has postponed her summer tour dates pending a full recovery.
Tickets for Cole’s performance will be refunded at point of purchase.
“We are extremely happy for Ms. Cole and wish her all the best,” said Anthony A. Marnell III, Chairman and CEO of the M Resort. “We look forward to having her at the M Resort in the future.”
