It was a Vegas-style, first-class evening for 250 mentally and developmentally disabled Nevadans on May 8 at Joy Prom. Cinthia Nelson, above, took the opportunity to shake a leg at M Resort, an event sponsor. “A lot of them didn’t have the chance to go to a prom and not have other kids judge them,” chaperone Lindsay Terrett said. “No one is in the corner. Everyone is dancing and having a good time.”
