Letter to the Editor:
Put waste dump in advocate’s back yard
Monday, May 11, 2009 | 2:04 a.m.
Now that it looks like the Yucca Mountain project is not going to happen, have the scientists or whatever group is responsible for finding a new and suitable location for nuclear waste thought about checking into a Texas locale?
After all, George W. Bush was all in favor of having a dump somewhere. What better place than his back yard. He could strut around in a hazmat suit and a hard hat, saying “nuc-u-lar” to his heart’s content.

Amen, him and his kind are worthless and expendable anyway. Hope Cheney becomes his neighbor.
"have the scientists or whatever group is responsible for finding a new and suitable location for nuclear waste..."
This has never been about good science. The decision was made and will be made by politians.
It is not a scienific decision to stop Yucca which is in the middle of a NRC review to determine the acceptablitiy of Yucca on the merit of the science prepared by the five national labs run by Obama and Chu.
Stopping Yucca (which was supported by Bill Clinton and Bill Richardson - They dug the tunnel at Yucca Mountain) is a policy decison by Obama which will cost the Feds $30 billion in the ratepayers money that they must return.
As of now Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Steven Chu are in violation of the NWPA for not fully funding Yucca in accordance with the law.
Govenor Bill Richardson and the State of New Mexico have offered to take the project and the billions in revenue and thousands of jobs.
The yucca mountain mine could be used as a federal prison for the most dangerous prisoner-terrorists at Guatonamo...Its about 1 mile deep and one way out...the elevator.
I say put them down there, give em a pick and shovel and when they dig out through the side, about a mile or more wide, they can get their official pardon.
Screw these bums and the social cry babies that want to treat them with kindness...
Thats right send all of the good jobs somewhere else, all we need is McDonald jobs in Nevada. You live on a uranium deposit and complain a little waste will be put a hundred miles away.

Maybe BO will use one of bush's terms when he was in violation of the law "Executive Privilege"
These projects are always about science, anyone who thinks different is not all there. It may be a political game on funding issues and the tag you're it show but, these projects are always evaluated and designed with the utmost safety intended. Some folks would be just downright dangerous, if they knew what they were talking about...JEEZ...and this Andy Weitman...what a moron!!!
