Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins weighed in on the North Las Vegas mayoral race via automated phone calls Thursday.
He is supporting candidate William Robinson.
Collins faced Robinson’s opponent, Shari Buck, in a brutal race five years ago for the County Commission seat in the district that includes North Las Vegas.
“She ran one of the most negative, inaccurate and repulsive campaigns in recent memory against me in 2004,” Collins said on the call made to 8,000 voters.
In that campaign, Buck brought up Collins’ criminal record, including then 12-year-old misdemeanor battery, gross misdemeanor battery and drunken driving charges.
Robinson recently has been tied, although not by the Buck campaign, to an FBI corruption investigation in the 1990s. No charges were filed.

Wonder if Collins was drunk when he did that recorded call? Collins is one of the most corrupt SOB that has ever served on the Commission. His strong arm tactics are obnoxious and he is an arrogant prick who serves only himself.
Why are you saying all these nice things about the commissioner?
I guess Tom Collins doesnt like the truth. Voters had a right to know that he was busted for DUI more than once. Anyone remember the corrupt cowboy politician from the movie Casino? Remind you of anyone, TOM. Tommy boy if someone actually started digging into your past you would probably find yourself arrested by the same police who claim to support you. Your day of Judgement is coming along with Robinson. The voters in NLV deserve better than you. William did you hear that or are you too busy sleeping through another city council meeting?
