Police search for teens after home invasion
Monday, March 30, 2009 | 2:07 p.m.
Metro Police are searching for four juveniles between 16 to 18 years of age suspected of breaking into a residence and assaulting the homeowner Monday morning.
Police said the home invasion occurred in a residential area near South Eastern Avenue and East Desert Inn Road.
The juveniles punched the homeowner in the face, police said. The homeowner then chased the teenagers out of the house.
For about an hour Monday morning, four schools -- Valley High, Orr Middle, and Harris and Thomas elementary schools -- were locked down as officers searched for the teenage suspects.

I live near there. Please come to my house and try it, I have some ammo I need to get rid of.
Keep your friends close. Keep your handgun closer. The resident should have sent these punks out in a bodybag.
You can't have ordinary citizens sending " ...punks out in a bodybag". It just gives the police further reason to concentrate on speed traps since the local residents are clearly capable of defending themselves.
vegas has turned into a toilet.
our cops spend more time handing out speeding tickets to create revenue and doing meaningless "seatbelt enforcement days" instead of actually cruising through our neighborhoods.
i live at jones and warm springs and i work from home and my window looks out on the "main drag" through my neighborhood and i never, EVER, see a cop car go through here.
it's sickening.
I live near there too. The cops and the K-9 units were on my street yesterday right after this happened.
The last time I saw the police on my street was a year ago when 2 houses were broken in to in broad daylight.
Maybe they should spend a little less time on their speed trap on Eastern and take the occasional drive around these streets.
