Shane Salyards of Garden City, Mo., a gaffer, or electrician, with the reality show “Extreme Home Makeover,” takes a break for a treat from an ice cream truck with other crew members and volunteers in the Las Vegas arts district. The crew was filming the show’s opening segment this month at the site of a mural funded by “Extreme Home Makeover” to accompany the home the show is rebuilding in Las Vegas.
