It has to be the next step in the AIG bonus story, the ongoing saga of outrage and corporate greed. With concern that the 90 percent tax proposal might be going after money already spent, you have to believe this scene will occur, preferably before a congressional panel. An AIG executive, his brow furrowed and perhaps beaded with sweat, will sheepishly acknowledge what he did with his bonus: “I spent my money on a trip to Vegas.” Can you imagine the reaction? What will the president say? What will the Republican gaming-haters say? What will the delegation say? Will an apology be forthcoming before Mayor Oscar Goodman can go on every cable channel known to man? I can’t wait.
