The publishers of a local motorcycle magazine have set up a series of coffee chats to give Henderson voters some face time with the five candidates running for mayor.
Thunder Roads of Nevada, a free local publication, has teamed with Saxby's Coffee and Angelina's Pizzeria to have the candidates make individual appearances at Saxby's Seven Hills location, 835 Seven Hills Drive, beginning Tuesday.
Each candidate will have a designated day, and all appearances will be at 11 a.m.
The schedule kicks off with Amanda Cyphers on Tuesday, then continues Wednesday with Arthur A. "Andy" Hafen and Thursday with Steve Kirk. Richard Sipan and Mike Mayberry will follow on March 17 and 19, respectively.
"It's a very informal-type gathering so people can come in and ask the candidates any question that they want," said Steve Odum, director of marketing for Thunder Roads.
