Four arrested in Las Vegas on federal charges

Four people have been arrested in Las Vegas today on various federal charges and all are in federal custody, the U.S. Attorney's Office of Nevada said.

-- FBI agents arrested Harold Call of Las Vegas after a grand jury indictment charging him with possessing and transferring a machine gun on Sept. 11, 2008. Call possessed parts that are designed and intended to convert a weapon to automatically shoot more than one shot, the indictment said.

-- Samuel Davis and Shawn Rice were indicted by a federal grand jury and arrested today for conspiracy to commit money laundering from Sept. 20, 2008, up until the March 3 indictment.

-- Jay Alan Lindsey was arrested on a federal grand jury indictment charging him with tax evasion from 1999 through 2002. Lindsey appeared briefly before U.S. Magistrate Judge Peggy Leen today, but his hearing and that of the other three people has been continued until 3 p.m. Friday.

At that time, the four will have an initial appearance and arraignment before a federal magistrate.
