Letter to the editor:
Hypocrisy, more than infidelity, riles voters
Tuesday, June 30, 2009 | 2:01 a.m.
Regarding Jay Carr’s Saturday letter to the editor in the Las Vegas Sun headlined “GOP hasn’t cornered market on infidelity”:
The headline is correct, as we all know, but it’s hypocrisy that bothers voters. The GOP put President Bill Clinton and the country through the wringer for his peccadillo in the White House. At the same time, House Speaker Newt Gingrich was having an affair with one of his aides.
Later, Tom DeLay bragged in his book that he wasn’t as bad as Newt because DeLay had stopped having his affair before Clinton’s impeachment — apparently timing is everything in lust. From an informal poll I took among friends, people can forgive infidelity, but hypocrisy is another story.

Bill Clinton was in trouble for lying to a federal grand jury under oath, not for his dealings with numerous women. He also took an oath when he was took office to uphold the Constitution and all laws of the United States. He lied under oath twice.
jib101; If they asked Gingrich, Delay, Ensign, and Sanford the same questions they asked Clinton, they would have also all lied under oath. Forcing Clinton to lie in order to embarrass him served no purpose, cost the country $60,000,000.00, and ACHIEVED NOTHING!
But if it gave you that "holier than thou" feeling, we should all be pleased to have spent $60,000,000.00 in tax dollars to make you happy.
Another day and another two letters from the LV Sun
How many more of these insipid Letters to the Editors will the LV Sun have to print.
We have healthcare, foreclosures, and tax and trade to discuss and the LV Sun wants to talk about sex.
The Democratic are running a $2,000,000,000,000.00 (that $2 trillion) deficit this year.
John Edwards and Ted Kennedy are getting tired of this.
Gary Musser is saying that Democrats have no morals and therefore can not fail.
I do not think that Democrat believe they have no morals.
Democrats are alway running on moral values.
Have you missed the Obama lecture series.
Future:
The letters will stop when the immoral PIG Ensign leaves office!
We are tired of the lies and fake religous right superior attitude. Republicans tell you how your family should look, but cant live with any morals themselves.
Ensign is a Promise Keeper-ie Lying fraud. DONT TRUST ENSIGN
Nick says there are "lies and fake religous" out there
It must be nice to be a DEM and not have to be accountable for or live up to anything.
Future
It is low comedy..the Democrats feigning outrage when Republican Senator acts like a Democrat..
Exactly what is the basis of this hysteria?
Is it because Ensign does not start with a "K?" But then neither does "Edwards."
Well then..some other guesses about Democrats "moral outrage."
Is it because the "lover" was female? Is it because Ensign doesn't smoke the Democratic brand of cigar?
I don't really care if Ensign acts like a Democrat in his personal life..Off the Senate Floor as long as he votes like a Republican..On the Senate Floor
Ensign has my vote 2010!
xtra - Ensign acts, breaths and walks just like the GOP, wingnut, Promise Keeper, sexual harrasser, liar that he is.
