A collision at about 2:25 p.m. Friday sent a motorcyclist and his passenger to the hospital after a collision in southwest Las Vegas.
Metro Police said a 2006 Harley Davidson driven by 53-year-old Steven LeBlanc of Las Vegas was going north in the left lane on Buffalo Drive.
A 2006 Nissan Pathfinder driven by 45-year-old Joseph Schneider of Henderson was traveling east on Sunset Road, police said. After stopping, the Nissan crossed Buffalo Drive, but failed to yield to the motorcycle going north, police said.
The motorcycle was unable to stop and struck the right front of the Nissan, traffic officers said. After the collision, LeBlanc and his passenger, 57-year-old Patricia Page of Las Vegas, were taken to University Medical Center's trauma unit in critical and serious condition, respectively.
It appears the Nissan driver committed a right-of-way violation, but police have not filed charges until the collision is further investigated by the Metro Police Accident Investigation Detail.
