This is a Sept. 25, 2007, file photo of Ozzy Osbourne at The Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York. The heavy metal rock star/TV reality show veteran, who is in Las Vegas this week, talked Wednesday about how much he likes the food at the Society Cafe at the Encore.

It’s no secret that Ozzy Osbourne has battled his share of addictions over the years so it comes as little surprise that the relatively reformed rocker recently succumbed to temptation during his recent visit to Las Vegas.

The city is, after all, often criticized for being a place that preys on people’s addictions.

The surprising part, however, is the nature of Osbourne’s current beast: It’s not drugs or alcohol that has him hooked; it’s food. Specifically, the food of Society Café at the Encore.

The 60-year-old so-called “prince of darkness” ate at the eatery three separate times this week, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and acknowledged Wednesday that he had become “addicted” to the new restaurant.

The admission came as he was making his way to one of the café’s tables for the third consecutive day.

With the exception of the occasional order of French fries, the rocker’s reported addiction has so far been a relatively healthy one. Among the menu items ordered, Osbourne has selected the Caesar and market chopped salads to satisfy his cravings.

His wife, Sharron Osbourne, joined him for his meal on Monday.

As one of the judges for “America’s Got Talent,” she is currently in town filming episodes of the popular variety show.

Another “America’s Got Talent” judge, David Hasselhoff, has also been spotted out and about over the past few days. The Hoff enjoyed several cocktails on Monday night at Rojo lounge at Palms Place, and was seen working out in the gym at Drift Spa on Wednesday morning.

“America’s Got Talent” crews have been criss-crossing their way across the Palms all week, shooting at several locations across the property.

Production is expected to wrap today.
