Mathew Lawson is vice president of community development for American Nevada Co. He is responsible for overseeing development, entitlement and construction activities for the company’s community division. Prior to joining American Nevada Co. in 2005, Lawson was senior vice president of acquisitions and development for Rhodes Homes in Las Vegas from 2004 to 2005. Before that, he was director of forward planning/land development manager for Del Webb Communities Inc./Pulte Homes in Henderson from 2000 to 2004. From 1998 to 2000, he held the position of director of land development and vice president at Primas & Associates in Las Vegas. Lawson holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is a registered professional engineer in Nevada. American Nevada Co.’s master-planned communities include the 8,400-acre Green Valley located in Henderson, Nev., as well as its closely related 1,310-acre Green Valley Ranch development. Through its affiliates, American Nevada Co. is the managing member of North Valley Enterprises LLC, developer of Aliante, a 1,905-acre master-planned community located in North Las Vegas and the managing partner in Silver Canyon Partnership, developer of the 1,300-acre Seven Hills master-planned community located in Henderson.
