Las Vegas man critically injured in ATV accident

Accident location

A Las Vegas man was critically injured Sunday afternoon when he lost control of his all-terrain vehicle in a water retention basin, Metro Police said.

At about 2:18 p.m., Craig Wall, 38, was driving a 2008 Polaris Razor 800 in the basin one mile south of Hualapai Way and Meranto Avenue. He was traveling in a southeastern direction when he lost control, causing the ATV to roll over, police said.

Wall was critically injured and flown to University Medical Center, where he was admitted to the trauma unit, authorities said.

A passenger, Sue Clements, 25, of Las Vegas, wasn't injured in the crash.
