Miley Cyrus returning to Vegas in September

Saturday, June 6, 2009 | midnight

If you go:

  • Sept. 26
  • 7 p.m.
  • Thomas & Mack Center
  • $39.50 to $79.50 (plus taxes and service charges)

Fans of teen sensation Miley Cyrus stand to get a special back-to-school treat this fall.

The 16-year-old "Hannah Montana" star announced Friday that she will play the Thomas & Mack Center on Sept. 26.

The concert is part of Cyrus' upcoming North American tour, which gets underway in Portland on Sept. 14 and will visit 43 cities before coming to a close in Miami in early December.

The Disney sensation -- whose real name is Destiny but goes by her childhood nickname, "Miley," since she is so "s-miley" -- will bring the up-and-coming band Metro Station on the road with her as the opening act.

Tickets for her shows will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 13, and will range in price from $39.50 to $79.50 (plus taxes and service charges).

All passes for Cyrus' upcoming tour will be paperless, meaning ticketholders will have to show an I.D. and the credit card used to purchase the passes to gain entry to the event.

The system also requires concertgoers whose tickets were purchased during the same transaction to enter the gate at the same time.

While the ticketless system might present challenges to Cyrus' mostly underage (and credit-cardless) fans, the multiplatinum-selling singer's card-carrying fans won't have to wait a week to spend their allowance to buy their passes: "Mileyworld" members will be able to purchase seats through an exclusive pre-sale.

The fanclub's 12-hour advance sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday.

UNLVTickets will administer the special fan-appreciation initiative via phone and online. American Express cardholders will also have access to a special pre-sale starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

That pre-sale concludes at 10 p.m. Friday.

Regardless of when or how passes are purchased, a maximum four-tickets-per-household policy will be enforced.
