Man surrenders
A man who barricaded himself inside an apartment at Tropicana Avenue and Maryland Parkway surrendered to Metro Police about 3:39 p.m. today.
The man, who was not identified, came out of the apartment without incident as a SWAT team surrounded the apartment complex, police said.
Several surrounding apartments were evacuated as a precaution, police said. The incident lasted less than an hour.
