This man, seen in separate surveillance photos, is being sought by police in connection with recent robberies at two sports books on the Las Vegas Strip.

Metro Police said today they are searching for a man in a white baseball cap who robbed two sports books Thursday night on the Las Vegas Strip.

The man went to the betting window at each of the sports books in the 3000 block of Las Vegas Boulevard and presented a note demanding money, police said. The robber then simulated a handgun under his shirt, police said.

The robber fled on foot in each case between Stardust Road and Circus Circus Drive, police said.

The man was described as white, 28 to 35 years old, 6-foot to 6-foot-3-inches tall and weighing 170 to 200 pounds, police said. He was wearing a white baseball cap, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a white T-shirt and jeans, police said.

Police are asking the public's help in identifying the man, whose actions were captured on a video surveillance system.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Metro Police robbery section at 828-3591 or, to remain anonymous, please call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.

  1. Wow, thats a dark skinned white man. Or is it just me?

  2. is that 2 diff. people? in 2 diff. pictures?

  3. JD, They just darkened him up so you would have something to coment on.

  4. He's batting 1,000.

  5. I forsee this story ending... Body found in the desert today of a man white, 28 to 35 years old, 6-foot to 6-foot-3-inches tall and weighing 170 to 200 pounds, police said. He was wearing a white baseball cap, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a white T-shirt and jeans.

  6. Slipped a note and simulated a gun??? Maybe it's time for metal detectors or train the workers behind the counter a little better? Maybe do like the banks and put a glass window up? And, am I the only one that thinks I could have handled this loser?

  7. Don't they have some kind of a 'panic' button to step on to alert security - that way the robber could be met at the door - and what about all those eyes in the skies - couldn't they see the 'simulated' gun - I thought those camera's were so good they could zoom in and see anything?

  8. JD - maybe he's a bi-racial (like the president) and decides to just recognize his 'white' side.

  9. azsk8fan, a.k.a. idiot!!!
