Robber in baseball cap hits two Strip sports books

This man, seen in separate surveillance photos, is being sought by police in connection with recent robberies at two sports books on the Las Vegas Strip.

Metro Police said today they are searching for a man in a white baseball cap who robbed two sports books Thursday night on the Las Vegas Strip.

The man went to the betting window at each of the sports books in the 3000 block of Las Vegas Boulevard and presented a note demanding money, police said. The robber then simulated a handgun under his shirt, police said.

The robber fled on foot in each case between Stardust Road and Circus Circus Drive, police said.

The man was described as white, 28 to 35 years old, 6-foot to 6-foot-3-inches tall and weighing 170 to 200 pounds, police said. He was wearing a white baseball cap, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a white T-shirt and jeans, police said.

Police are asking the public's help in identifying the man, whose actions were captured on a video surveillance system.
