Boulder City police arrested an 18-year-old man Friday night after a half-hour chase through town on foot that began with a stop for driving under the influence.

Daniel Dryjanski, 18, was booked in the Henderson Detention Center on charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest, evading an officer, reckless driving and injury to property, police said.

About 11:30 p.m., a Ford Escort headed downtown ran the light at Buchanan Boulevard and Nevada Way, police said.

Officer Grant Case, with lights and sirens flashing, followed the car and stopped it at Nevada Way and Fir Street.

The driver refused all DUI testing, locked his car and ran away with the keys, Officer Jen Ford said.

She and three other officers responded as backup, searching for the driver down Elm, Cottonwood and Eighth streets.

Around midnight, officers found the man walking along Lake Mountain Drive on his way home and arrested him, Ford said.

One officer tripped and ripped his pants during the pursuit, resulting in the injury to property charge, Ford said.
