Las Vegas goalie John DeCaro stopped 37 shots for his first shut out of the season as the Wranglers blasted the Bakersfield Condors 4-0 Wednesday night at Rabobank Arena in front of 4,325 fans.
DeCaro, who is now 10-4 on the season, was able to play with a lead from the first minute as Peter Ferraro scored 47 seconds into the contest for his fifth goal of the season and third in as many nights.
Adam Miller extended the Wranglers' early lead when he scored on a breakaway with 50 seconds left in the first period.
In the second period, Hugo Carpentier completed a 2-on-1 breakaway by burying a pass from Miller for a shorthanded goal.
Carpentier then sealed the 4-0 victory with his second goal of the night just 59 seconds into the third period.
The Wranglers (16-15-3) travel to Stockton (14-17-5) on Friday to face the Thunder at 7:30 p.m.
ROSTER REPORT
