Snowed out once before, a public meeting on the safety of construction workers has been rescheduled.

The Southern Nevada Building and Construction Trades Council announced Monday that the meeting will be held Jan. 28th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Clark County Government Center.

Organized by Building Trades and by Clark County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani, the group of local officials first met in June to discuss policy changes in response to the rash of construction deaths on the Las Vegas Strip.

At that meeting, known as the Construction Worker Safety Roundtable, Giunchigliani and other officials asked industry and union groups to come to the next meeting with a list of solutions.

Five months passed before the next meeting was scheduled -- for Dec. 17, the night an unusual snow storm passed through Las Vegas.
