Tropicana Entertainment today named veteran gaming executive Ron Thacker as president of Tropicana Las Vegas.
Thacker most recently held the position of vice president of casino operations at Fontainebleau Resorts, where he was responsible for casino design and development. He previously held executive positions at the Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino, Flamingo Las Vegas, Casino Windsor and Flamingo Hilton Kansas City.
Thacker will report to chief operating officer Robert Yee and oversee all property operations.
"Ron brings a wealth of resort, hotel and gaming experience to his position at the Tropicana Las Vegas," Yee said. "We are thrilled to have him on our team and eager to employ his extensive working knowledge of the casino gaming business."
Thacker is a Las Vegas native who served in the U.S. Marine Corps for eight years before beginning his career in the casino and resort industry.
