An 18-year-old Las Vegas woman who died at the scene of a crash Sunday evening in the southern Las Vegas Valley has been identified as Ashley Michelle Uceda, the Clark County coroner's office said Monday afternoon.

The cause of her death was multiple injuries from a motor vehicle crash, the coroner said. Two passengers in her vehicle were injured in the crash.

Metro Police are still investigating why the 1990 Ford Taurus, driven by Uceda, traveling east on Shelbourne Avenue at about 7:56 p.m. Sunday pulled onto Las Vegas Boulevard and was struck by a 2000 Ford pickup truck driven by 22-year-old Tasha Stewart-Irwin of Las Vegas. A 2-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl from California were in the pickup truck, but no one in the truck was injured, police said.

The pickup truck was traveling in the left lane of Las Vegas Boulevard with no stop sign. The Ford Taurus had a stop sign on Shelbourne, police said.

Two passengers in the Taurus were injured, police said. A 16-year-old girl in critical condition and a 11-year-old girl with moderate injuries were taken to a local hospital.

Police didn't identify the injured passengers because they were juveniles.

This is the second fatal crash in Metro Police jurisdiction this year.
