CityCenter is accepting applications beginning today to fill 12,000 positions, the largest employment opportunity available in the country, the company said.
Applications will be accepted on the CityCenter Web site at citycentercareers.com, and there will be an in-person interview for local applicants and phone interviews for out-of-state applicants.
Applicants without a computer can apply at Clark County Libraries, Nevada Partners, Nevada Job Connect and UNLV.
CityCenter will be hiring for positions at ARIA Resort & Casino, Vdara Hotel and Crystals, which is the development's retail and entertainment district. In addition, Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas, and The Harmon Hotel, Spa & Residences will be accepting applications through the Web site beginning this spring.
Jobs include food and beverage, hotel operations, casino operations, retail management, entertainment, finance, human resources, facilities and security.
“We’re proud to be creating 12,000 new jobs at CityCenter that will be filled by smart, passionate individuals from throughout the state and country,” CityCenter’s president and chief executive officer Bobby Baldwin said in a prepared statement. “We welcome individuals of all experience levels and backgrounds to submit their applications today.”

I can only imagine how many applications thse 12,000 positions will bring in. Especially from out of state.
What better place to start a whole new life than Las Vegas?
I wonder how many people that work at the Review-Journal filled out applications.
The R-J is just about finished as a daily paper.
Now that's just mean-spirited SteveM. But it wouldn't be the worst move for all media folks in Vegas to apply with City Center.
It would be nice to see the jobs go first and foremost to those already living here in Vegas, and then perhaps to others willing to move here - just as long as ALL the jobs go to AMERICAN CITIZENS I will be ok with that.
Just a thought...12,000 jobs available, 6,000 will go to MGM-Mirage laid off employees. With this economy who's to say that they will actually fill all the positions. Taking apps. is not the same as hiring.
