The 2009 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Oratorical Festival was held in the theater of the West Las Vegas Library on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009.

During the 2009 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Oratorical Festival on Tuesday, students from kindergarten to high school competed in several categories with the common theme of "Living the Dream and Setting New Heights." The categories included a choral competition, original oratory, and poetry prose and spoken word, and was held at the West Las Vegas Library theater.
