Nevada has been following a national trend — aging populations. We're just not as old as you might think. As in most of the rest of the country, the older demographic has come to take up a significantly larger share of the population as a whole during the past few decades. But just 36 percent of Nevadans were 45 or older in 2007, compared with 38 percent nationally.
