As temperatures rise to 70 degrees today and then stay in the low 70s through the week, a 20 to 30 percent of rain through today gives way to clear skies for the week.
The National Weather Service says the rain and high-level mountain snows, if they come, will stay mainly north of the Las Vegas Valley.
The low tonight drops into the 40s before a drier weather pattern begins on Tuesday.
Daytime temperatures in the 70s are warmer than normal, when average temps reach into the high 60s at this time of year, the weather service says.
Nighttime temperatures stay in the high 40s of low 50s until next weekend when another storm system arrives in Southern Nevada.
