The ex-husband of a woman who was stabbed to death about 11 p.m. Friday is due in court Wednesday and he is being held without bail.
Metro Police said that 50-year-old Edwin M. Magbanua of Las Vegas was arrested at the home of his ex-wife at 6283 Humus Ave., near Warm Springs Road and Jones Boulevard, after officers received a call of a stabbing.
Police found the woman with several stab wounds and she was taken to University Medical Center where medical personnel pronounced her dead, police said.
The Clark County Coroner's Office said that 39-year-old Janet Nual died of multiple stab wounds and her death was ruled a homicide.
Magbanua is being charged with murder with a deadly weapon and is being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center, detention center records show.
