Metro Police are investigating the discovery of a dead body found in northwest Las Vegas Valley on Monday evening.
Police said the body was found on the pavement at an apartment complex near Cheyenne Avenue and North Buffalo Drive.
No details about the person or manner of death were immediately available.

Right near Sister Bill's brand new smoke shop!
It was behind the bus stop at the SW corner of Cheyenne and Buffalo, outside the barrier wall to the Mar-A-Lago condos. Authorities were on the scene at 5pm. The victim was a white male in his 20s or 30s, with a shaved head.
Gary's comment was accurate. I learned from a co-worker that a local news channel reported him being a worker of a pizza place there. I saw him, poor guy.... I was sitting at the Cheyenne light on Buffalo, stuck in traffic. He was wearing red & black - I'm assuming he worked at Pizza Hut, and from what the news station reported, had a heartache but had called for help, and was dead when police finally got there.. I was APALLED by the way they dealt with him. They didn't cover him up, barracade the body with police cars, put up screens, nothing.. I was sitting waiting for the light to turn for about 5 full minutes, with a wide open view of that guy, laying there in the rocks, with his face turned toward the street... The police on the scene were talking to residents and there were 3 by the body. 1 wearing officer attire, the other 2 looked much more 'desk job' clothed. It infuriated me to see these 3, standing with their back to the man, chumming it up laughing with each other, while I sat waiting for the light in PLAIN view of this poor deceased man. I didn't want to see that, and I'm assuming no one else waiting for the light did either, we all were looking at one another in shock and shaking our heads.. and the cops stood their looking at us, and laughing with each other.
That poor man, and even more upsetting is I hope his family never knows the blatant disregard of Metro Police Department for their son(?), brother(?), uncle(?), father(?), boyfriend(?)'s life. That was his end... on display for all to see on Buffalo & Cheyenne.
Heart breaking.
heartache = Heart attack***
The scene I saw made my heartache..
