Pedestrian death

The Nevada Highway Patrol is closing its investigation into a fatal crash that killed a Las Vegas woman on rural U.S. 95 after her death was ruled a suicide.

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the woman on Tuesday as 44-year-old Irma Rosales. She died after being struck Monday morning by a semi truck on U.S. 95 near Cal-Nev-Ari in southern Clark County.

The cause of Rosales's death was multiple injuries from a motor vehicle crash, the coroner's office said.

The crash occurred at about 5:30 a.m. Monday, said Trooper Kevin Honea of the Nevada Highway Patrol. The truck driver, who was not charged in the crash, was not identified.

Three Nevada Highway Patrol investigators examined the scene of the crash, which occurred between one and two miles from the woman's vehicle, Honea said.
