WMC to open Design Salon

World Market Center Las Vegas has announced plans to open a Design Salon at the Las Vegas Design Center.

The salon, which is scheduled to open March 25, will feature more than 50 showrooms. The Las Vegas Design Center is located within World Market Center.

Randy Wells, vice president of Las Vegas Design Center, said the salon is the product of a partnership between Las Vegas Design Center and the American Society of Interior Designers’ California Central/Nevada chapter.

“Through the Design Salon, consumers have the opportunity to learn about the value and accessibility of exceptional design and purchase unique, often custom or configurable furnishings with the benefit of a consultation from an accredited ASID designer,” Wells said.

The concept will serve as a conduit between consumers and Las Vegas Design Center. The salon will offer complimentary consultations by professionals and allows the public unprecedented access to Las Vegas Design Center’s home furnishings showrooms.

Previously, the public had access to the World Market Center a few times a year for clearance sales that benefit local charities.

Salon services will run 50 weeks a year, but not during the biannual Las Vegas Market, a trade show open exclusively to wholesalers, retail buyers and designers in the home furnishings industry.
