Kathleen Anderson

Kathleen M. Anderson, 81, of Las Vegas, died Feb. 8.

A resident since the mid 1980s, Anderson was born Oct. 13, 1927, in Milwaukee. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her brother, William J. Duma of Las Vegas; a niece; and several nephews.

Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Anderson.

All services will be held in Milwaukee.

Arrangements were handled by Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne.

Elmer Sowder Jr.

Elmer J. Sowder Jr., 86, of Las Vegas, died Feb. 3.

A 45-year resident of Las Vegas, Sowder was born Jan. 24, 1923 in Amarillo, Texas. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II and was a retired Los Alamos test director at the Nevada Test Site.

He is survived by his son, Kerry Sowder of Denton, Texas; daughters Carol Mark of Los Alamos, N.M., Cheryl Sowder of Jemez Springs, N.M., and Kay Franklin of Brookings, S.D.; stepson, Mark Bowman of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 8 at Palm Mortuary-Northwest.

Arrangements were handled by Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne.

Bonnie Heise

Bonnie J. Heise, 78, of Las Vegas, died Feb. 6.

A resident since 1990, she was born Jan. 5, 1931, in Chicago. She was a homemaker.

Heise is survived by her husband, John J. Heise of Las Vegas; daughters Michele Stosur of Homewood, Ill., and Leslie Ilene Zabo and her husband, Barry, of Las Vegas; son, Scott Stosur of Lansing, Ill.; and granddaughter, Gabrielle Eden of Las Vegas;

A memorial service will begin at 4 p.m. Feb. 13 at Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne, 7400 W. Cheyenne Road.

A graveside service will begin at 10 a.m. Feb. 17 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., in Boulder City.

Arrangements were handled by Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne.

Jack Woll

Jack Woll, 85, of Las Vegas, died Feb. 7.

A six-year resident, Woll was born Feb. 10, 1923 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He served in the Coast Guard during World War II and was retired as a private insurance investigator.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Woll of Las Vegas; son, Loren D. Woll and his wife, Lynn, of Porter Ranch, Calif.; daughter Susan A. Klein and her husband, Barry, of Winnetka, Calif.; and grandchildren, Ross H. and Hannah R. Klein of Winnetka.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 13 at Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne, 7400 W. Cheyenne Road.
