Director steps down from gaming supply company

Las Vegas-based gaming supply company Shuffle Master added to its list of changes in corporate leadership roles on Thursday. The company announced that Chris Philibbosian will step down as director of the company, effective immediately.

Philibbosian will be stepping down to devote more time to SAAK Management, the company he created last year, according to a Shuffle Master news release. A replacement for his position wasn’t announced.

“We are disappointed to lose Chris’ contributions to our Board; however, we understand and respect his need to devote time to SAAK Management and wish him continued success in the future,” current board chairman Philip Peckman said in a statement.

The resignation of Philibbosian is one of many drastic changes Shuffle Master has made in recent months. Earlier this month, the company announced the retirement of chief executive officer Mark Yoseloff and the appointment of Timothy Parrott as his successor. Yoseloff will step down in March and doesn’t plan to stand for re-election to the board of directors.

President, chief operating officer and secretary Paul Meyer left the company at the expiration of his contract in November 2008. Later that month, Shuffle Master announced the separation of the chairman of the board and CEO roles, removing Yoseloff as chairman and replacing him with Peckman.

Also in November, the company appointed David Lopez, Roger Snow and Jerry Smith as executive vice presidents and announced the consolidation of the Shuffle Master Americas division with its corporate group, which are headquartered in Las Vegas.
