Metro Police arrested a man on Monday afternoon in connection with a weekend shooting in Henderson that left one dead and two others injured.
Carlos Eriberto Orellana, 23, turned himself in to police about 1 p.m. on Monday. He was being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center, charged with murder, attempted murder and battery with a deadly weapon.
Police say seven shots were fired from a .40 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun during a fight early Saturday morning that began inside the Olive Mediterranean Grill and Hookah Bar near Sunset Road and Annie Oakley Drive.
The fight spilled over into the parking lot shortly after midnight and started to break up when two men, Brandon Gahagan and Ernesto Martinez were shot.
Gahagan, 21, a 2005 Mojave High School graduate, died at the scene while Martinez, 20, was treated at University Medical Center for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound in his left arm.
A third man, 26 years old, was taken to Sunrise Hospital for injuries related to the fight. He was later released.
Police said the gunman fled the scene in a white Toyota sedan. The car was recovered the next day by Metro Police near the corner of Maryland Parkway and Twain Avenue with blood on the outside of the vehicle.
