LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
Finally, ‘yes we can’ is gaining traction in U.S.
Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009 | 2:02 a.m.
We must finally thank the Democrats in the Senate for giving millions of Americans a great Christmas present.
Yes, they still must wrap and put the final ribbon on the health care package before House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid can deliver it, but at least it is in the box. Even if some of the components can’t be delivered until next Christmas, it is still a great present for those who may be devastated by health and financial problems.
On the other side of the spectrum, there were some senators who promoted the slogan of “death panels” and so forth that will hopefully cause them to lose their jobs in the near future. I do not think most of the American people really care about those elected officials’ jobs if they do not support positions to help dig our country out of the disaster that they personally had a hand in creating.
Our government has been going in the wrong direction for many years and it now appears that the slogan of “yes we can” is starting to take hold.
We must still create avenues to shelter the homeless and provide jobs to those in need and to put in place a better way for our government to govern.
It is time for our country to grab the reins and help feed the needy and take firm control of the greedy. This is not socialism, it is Americanism.

Goldflab-It is not Americanism to tax the hell out of citizens. If I work hard and want to enjoy the fruits of my labor it is not greed. It is honesty. People like you are not real Americans, you are social parasites. The Democrats and especially your president (not mine) suck. We will extract our revenge come November 2010.
Don Ellis says "Our government has been going in the wrong direction..."
----------------
Under Obama, Reid, and Pelosi we now have a government with total control over our lives.
Under Obama, Reid, and Pelosi we now have a government which will not listen to the people. They will not answer our phone calls, e-mails, or come to our town halls.
Under Obama, Reid, and Pelosi we now are living large, beyond our means leaving the bill for our grandkids.
Under Obama, Reid, and Pelosi we now have 10% unempolyment and 17% underemployment, with NO plan to reduce it.
Under Obama, Reid, and Pelosi we now have a government that can be bought with PAYOLA. Democrats did a good job of producing an incoherent inept health insurance PAYOLA bill for Fatcat Unions, Special interests (MOVEON.ORG), Insurance Companies, Hospitals, Pharmaceuticals, Trial lawyers, and Lobbyist.
To change this course Nevada need to dump Harry Reid in 2010
Yes we can raise your taxes.
Yes we can raise your insurance premiums.
Yes we can take away your Medicare Advantage plans (unless you leave in Florida).
Yes we can reduce the quality of care in Medicare by gutting hundreds in billions in funding.
Yes we can try to switch out good private insurance plans with poorer quality government plans.
Yes we can create vast new bureaucracies that will place limits on how and when your doctors can treat you.
Yes we can.....brought to you by the Democrats who are trying their best to drive their political car off the edge of the cliff as fast as they can.
Democrats.....believers in big big government....believers in big big brother....believers in big big deficits...believers in anti-business laws and regulations.
Yes they can try to screw over American....hopefully in 2010 the voters will...yes we can...kick their cans out of office.
Good post Sgt.Rock.
WE NEED MEDIA REFORM TO SHUT DOWN right wing talk radio. Yes we can. Fortunately, Citadel, is bankrupt...so when we hear Sean Insannity talk about how "Social Security in Bankrupt, Medicare is Bankrupt, blah blah" He is bankrupt too.
The flag will fly proudly over this great land, as long as China can afford us.
SgtRock... A real classic post...
I have one more for wailer Don:
Yes we can have death panels to eliminate the old folks who are costing the government too much...
Hey Don: A better way for are government to govern is to have it govern less. You see the government as a large MANPOWER office placing people in real jobs with private employers and health insurance and vacation benefits. Well thats not how it works the government takes away' It is not design to give anything. So that means it really is Socialism!
Hey mred: Do you want to know why liberal talk radio is dead' It's because it has no audience. We on the right do not need the government to shut you down we just let the free market place do it for us. LOL
Now go drink your kool-aid
WE NEED MEDIA REFORM TO SHUT DOWN right wing talk radio. Yes we can. Fortunately, Citadel, is bankrupt...so when we hear Sean Insannity talk about how "Social Security in Bankrupt, Medicare is Bankrupt, blah blah" He is bankrupt too.

Haven't listened to Rush Limbaugh in years, watch Fox news occasionally. But, please leftwing loons, keep trying to deprive millions of Americans their constitutional rights, keep mocking their concerns and marginalizing their presense. Keep it up, because you expose your hateful attitudes and your true intentions for everyone to see.Keep it up, and maybe we will get some "real change we can believe in".
Liberals think that constitutional rights only apply to them. They think the rest of us are not fit for any rights.
Our medical system is looking more like Cuba's and so is our government, thanks to the Liberals...
An excellent letter Don Ellis. It shows real Christmas spirit, and that old-fashioned American desire to improve the quality of life for everyone.
However, the majority of the posts so far appear to be from diehard anti-government proponents, who genuinely believe that less regulation and government interference is best. You will never convince those people that what you term "Americanism" is a better way to govern.
Good luck to those politicians who side with you and believe that a caring government can craft a better society.
Those politicians who side with the wailer and believe that a caring government can craft a better society are going to need all the luck in the next election that "Oh Canada" can garner their way...
"Our government has been going in the wrong direction for many years and it now appears that the slogan of "yes we can" is starting to take hold."
Ellis -- your ignorance is showing. Read more than the headlines, look behind the sound bites. It's more like "yes you will or it's a federal felony not to enroll."
SgtRock -- whatever you've been taking lately, keep taking it.
Larry alot of us are tired of you. Why don't you go to Biafra and do your posting, oh, they don't have the internet over there? Go any way!
If you need some physical release go find some illegals and get a soccer game going.
I get alot more from FromBellevilleCanada's postings than yours.
fremmasmind: When you say alot of us... How many little frogs do you have in your pocket?
Eariler I posted: "Liberals think that constitutional rights only apply to them. They think the rest of us are not fit for any rights."
I should have wrote that "The far left and right think that constitutional rights only apply to them. They think the rest of us are not fit for any rights."
Just because, I don't agree with your anti-war stance and your 9/11 conspiracy theories, You act like I should not have the right to post here.
Besides, if you would like to move to Canada, please help yourself. You will probably find more people to agree with your conspiracy and anti war theories. Maybe you can associate yourself with some old Vietnam war deserters...
I have a new mantra for the Party of No.
The party of No new answers.
The party of No new taxes.
The party of No health care reform.
The party of No such thing as Climate Change.
The party of No such thing as a good Public Education.
The party of No News but Fox News.
The party of No Morals but OUR Morals. (?)
The party of No help for the downtrodden.
The party of No No No!!! Ho Ho Ho!
The party of No Because We Didn't Think of It!
The new Mantra for the Hateful Right should be a whiney, childlike, "YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!"
And of course, all they can think about, write about, comment about, daydream about, is "Just wait, you guys are so gone in the next election!" because You're Doing It ALL Wrong!!!
Hand Wringing optional, but highly recommended.
Good work there gmager... It must have taken you a long time to compile so many no's...
Can you put it to tune now???
It might be a great hit and sell many copies...
You all need to take off the blinders. BOTH parties are responsible for where we are today. The one out of power will do anything to regain it and the one in power will do anything to keep it. Those of you who are defending all that the Dems are currently doing are making the same mistake that Repubs made during the Bush administration.
Regrettably, the fourth estate has decided to turn a blind eye to things as well. By definition, politicians are not to be trusted. They should all be observed with a critical eye.
"Can you put it to tune now???"
-----------------------
Mm, mmm, mm!
Because Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi says so
To you right wingers, name one bill passed by the Republicans that had any social value. My count so far is zero. I voted for Ronald Reagan and a few Republicans back in N.Y.C., today, I wouldn't for any of the obstructionists. They only have one intention, do not allow Obama to succeed at anything. No matter the cost to the average citizen.
Lar, I'm thinking "Another Brick In The Wall pt.3
Can you hear the kids singing;
"All we know is, Your doing it wrong!"
George Bush passed a taxcut that was quite beneficial to Americans. I love to keep every nickel I earn in my own pocket and don't want the government dregs to have any part of it. Let them all burn where it is the hottest.
Obama should not be allowed to frequent any place that Ronald Reagan occupied. It is disgracing a great American. Ronald Reagan was a great American. Obamma is a disgrace to American and to mankind.
jlb101......
Take two aspirin and go straight to bed. Hopefully what ever you have will go away over night!
Ronnie "Raygun" was a light-weight......plain and simple. I like to call the "Gipper" simply "Presidential Platitude."
He had a knack for saying things that made people feel good about themselves, and he loved to talk about "that shining city on the hill" but he was long on promises and short on delivery.
He was a nice guy but not much of a president. He seldom knew what was going on, and often had to be awakened in a Cabinet meeting in order to get his approval for something that was being considered. His nickname should have been the "napper."
Right in the middle of the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan, and us giving millions and millions of dollars in aid to the Afghanistan rebels, Ronnie ask his Chief of Staff, "Are we still doing anything in Afghanistan." Believe it or not, he had not a clue....
When Congress started asking questions about his administration's involvement in the Iran-Contra mess, Ronnie simply said "I don't recall.....I don't recall....I don't recall."
Ronnie was probably correct, he didn't recall very much....dementia had already set in...I'm not making fun of the fact that he was losing it at that point in time, but it's actually scary when you consider the fact that the most powerful man in the world seldom knew what was going on...
Nancy, the First Lady, often ran the show and demanded and got several of Ronnie's White House Staff and Cabinet members fired because she didn't like them.....Donald Regan (Sec. of Treasury) comes quickly to mind.
The entire Reagan story has not been told but only because the media has chosen to go "light" on Ronnie........he was never asked a tough question by the media and was always given the benefit of the doubt on everything that he said and did...
A nice guy but not much of a president....
"He had a knack for saying things that made people feel good about themselves, and he loved to talk about "that shining city on the hill" but he was long on promises and short on delivery."
El Lobo, how is that any different from right now?
Say you are good does not make you good.
Look at Obama's Blundering record
Always thought U.S is the number one state in the world, now I don't know. Ready trained to conquest the first and last to make the difference. Honesty is gold, usurpers are next to follow. Selection is for sworn juror, american who is made under oath.
Reagan did three things:
1) Returned economic boom that last for decades
2) Put the end to the cold war
3) As a result reduced the possibility of millions of people dying in a hot war
Thank you Reagan.
Only really stupid people do not understand the greatest of this man.
But SgtRock, how could Ronald Reagan accomplish all of those great things you listed when he went to Eureka College instead of Harvard or other ivy-league college?
You know how Liberals are elitists and are always calling Conservatives "dumb" and unqualified because of their lack of a "preppy" education...
Just goes to show that common sense can be more important that a pedigree education...
LarryVegas.....
Hmmmmm....I'm confused.......your statement saying that "you know how Liberals are elitists and are always calling Conservatives "dumb" and unqualified because of their lack of a "preppy" education..." is strange at best.
Are you saying that both members of the Bush clan, George sr. & George junior, didn't go to a "preppy" school? I thought they were Yale guys....where did I get an idea like that? I have also been under the impression that junior went to an elite private school during his high school days... I believe he attended a "preppy" private boarding school named Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass.
Heck, what do I know....Ha! Ha! Ha!
PvtRock.......what are we going to do with you?
Some of the ideas that you come up with.....Wow!
Actually Ronnie "Raygun" didn't bring the Cold War to an end. Historians say that the Soviet Union was already pretty much on its death bed before Ronnie ran for the White House in 1980.
A few historians say that Ronnie might have speeded-up the demise of the Soviet Union by his massive military spending which the Soviets couldn't match, but the hand writing was already on the wall.
The latest research on the Cold War says that a few of the Soviet leaders such as Khrushchev, knew way back in the 1960's & 1970's, that the Soviet economy could not continue to put all of their money into the military and survive.
The present belief is that Khrushchev knew that very thing going into the Cuban Missile Crisis and what the Soviet leader wanted was a trade-off with us. Khrushchev also knew that the Soviets were behind the United States in the number of war heads in each nation's arsenal. The missile gap was a case of the Soviets bringing up the rear and not the U.S., as many people believed...
In the end, that's what happened....they took their missiles out of Cuba and we took our missiles out of Turkey. The fact that we took our missiles out of Turkey never really appeared in the American press...That allowed Kennedy to save face and appear to have come out of the crisis with the upper hand...
I like what a fellow Republican and former president said about Ronnie "Raygun."
Gerald Ford said:
"It make me very irritated when Reagan's people pound their chest and say that because we had this big military build-up, the Kremlin collapsed ," Ford told his home town newspaper, The Grand Rapids Press.
Ford contended that his own negotiations of the Helsinki accords on human rights did more to win the Cold War than Reagan's military build-up.
PvtRock...
Your statememt saying that Reagan's economic boom lasted for decades is pure nonsense. Bill Clinton was faced with a very weak and "going in the crapper economy" when he became President in 1993.
Remember the deficits facing George HW Bush during his second term and how he had to go back on his promise of "read my lips, no new taxes....?" I sure do.... The poor economy was a major factor in the defeat of Bush senior....
Remember the statement, "It's the economy. stupid?"
In other words, Reagan's trickle-down didn't trickle very far or for very long.....
Actually, my statement on "read my lips" should have said....
"Remember the deficits facing George HW Bush during his only term and how he had to go back on his promise of "read my lips, no new taxes....?"
As we all knowm George senior served just one term.....it was his retarded son who served two terms......sorry about that!
"We-think-we-can-we-think-we-can... woo-woo"
As the Barry & Harry health care train leaves the station headed for a city near you...
"We know we can....we know we can....we know we can...woo-woo"
The proof is always in the pudding...Stayed tuned....
El Lobo-Why don't you get off your dead butt and get a job so you can pay for your own healthcare like a real man would do. Quit being a despicable weasel.
You denegrate Ronald Reagan. He was ten times the man that worthless piece of garbage that infests the White House now. Gutter scum from the ghettos of Chicago. Obama should be impeached and sent back to the jungles of Kenya or where ever he was born. He is not an Amrerican.
jlb101......
Hmmmmm....I think its time for you and me to have that little talk again concerning "anger management." I thought I had convinced you to attend an "anger management" class.....
Keeping all that anger inside of you is not good....High blood pressure, ulcers, migraine headache's, etc....none of those things are conducive to good health.
I worry about you my little buddy! I don't believe your're enjoying that retirement that you were talking about....
Do I detect a sliver of racism in your post.....surely not! Not from you.....
"We-thought-we-could, we-thought-we-could... woo-woo"
The Barry & Harry health care train returned to it's station to pick up a new load of money. They ran out of money after bribing Democrat Senators to vote for the B&H health care bill...woo-woo...
LarryVegas.....
Heck, it's only money....you can't take it with you!
Racism? I despise crooked politicians whatever race the are. I thought Killer Ted Kennedy was despicable and celebrated his demise. I will not comment on the fool in the White House lest I get a knock on the door from the Secret Service. I will say that the shorter that moron is in office the better it is for Americans.
If this were a free society like was conceived by the wise gentlemen who founded it, I would have no anger. It has been taken over by a bunch of subhuman socialists who think everyone owes them something. Yes I am angry about that but I believe people are getting wise and these fools like Little Obozo will be sent packing in 2010.
Se, yes we can ! I like. god bless this great country and senior Reid, and free health care for me and my family. El Loba you know they cant take it with them, that is the America i like ! You earn it and we use it up !
Hmmmmmm...I don't believe Obama is up for re-election until 2012...
Yes, you are an angry little man. We all get angry from time to time but you seem to be angry most of the time.
The line by you saying "Obama should be impeached and sent back to the jungles of Kenya or where ever he was born" BORDERS ON RACISM... Maybe you don't think so... I do!
Your statement that he is not an American shows how little you know about the U.S. Constitution.
It really doesn't matter where Obama was born. He's an American citizen because his mother was an American citizen..... That's not "rocket science" stuff....
This past Fall, Senator McCain was the GOP nominee for president and guess what? McCain was not born in the United States, yet he was constitutionally eligible for the presidency. Why was that? His mother is an American citizen.....pretty simple stuff! Again, not "rocket science" stuff!
For someone who claims to be a college graduate, you show very little ability in terms of assimilating information and using it in a logical manner....
Good luck with your anger.....learn to deal with it or it will consume you and once that happens, you are in big trouble...
El Lobo is Right. All my children, 8, and me sisters and 4 brothers children, 42 in all, and their children, add another 12, are all citizens Americans ! And soon we will be legal to when Senior Reid gives us amnesty !
YES WE CAN.
We already booted these radical, right-wing
lunatics out of power. They will be out of power
for at least 10 to 20 years for the damage they
caused our country. Health care will pass and
the majority of Americans will want Democrats
at the helm for many years to come.
YES WE CAN.
Amen to the right wing radicals! I never met a stingier sumbitch than a Republican.
In 1998 I won a lottery that paid me very well for 20 years. I still have 8 payments left. I was living in Pa. The rule was if you won the Pa lottery you were exempt from paying state income tax on the lottery winnings. My win was from Indiana and I got a tax bill from the state of Pa. I paid it and moved out of that rat race.
I was told by a Republican judge that I should be honored to pay that tax. Years later he was arrested for tax evasion. Now that's a Republican story for you.
Every year I get my check and send 35 per cent to the Fed and I put the rest in Tax free municipal bonds, Swiss notes, Providence water co, and a few others. The only tax I pay is the Federal which is a lot but there's no way out.
I am eligible for Social Security next year and Then Medicare soon after.
I figure the Federal tax that I pay should go strictly to help provide for the indigent. they are truly the backbone of this country.
What aggravates me is the people that claim to love Jesus and then try to deny his children. We're all his children. I say take care of the poor and they will take care of you.
Heyjuan, can you spell ICE?
The teamster has got to start drinking a better brand of tequila.
Hint for you teamster: Start buying tequila made out of blue agave instead of that coal that "Bribe em Harry" has been giving you.
It will clear you mind up a bit...
Won't it be an interesting day when people stop fighting over 'right' or 'left' and start looking at Right and Wrong. Is it right to steal from your neighbor (who already gives you part of everything he has)? Is it right to steal from the next generation? Or maybe it is better to steal from the next three generations? At times, debt is a necessary evil, but is it right to encumber debt that you have no ability to pay for?
Americanism is a truly giving nature, but for the 'government' to take from you and give to someone else is not giving, it is stealing. If you have no knowledge of the founding principles of this country, then I suggest you do a little studying. The founders developed a nation of limited power at the federal level, placing the burden of most government on the state level, closest to the people. To spend money beyond your means is malfeasance of office, and every official that votes for national health care should be prosecuted by their individual states for the crime that they have committed.
Good post blister8!
"To spend money beyond your means is malfeasance of office..."--then you must be pretty mad at Bush and cheney.
I get a kick out of the comments made by right-wingers concerning the founding of this country.
The right-wingers would have you believe that the Founding Fathers were very, very conservative "god fearing" gentleman who created a national constitution and in the process gave very, very little if any power to the national government.....that's not entirely true.
Actually, the power of the national government under the new U.S. Constitution was equal to or possibly greater than the power of the individual states...
Many of the powers given to the new national government were powers that before had belonged only to the states....for example:
Under the Articles of Confederation government, which was the government of the United States immediately after the American Revolution, the individual states could:
A. Coin their own money...each state had its own currency. Each state was under no obligation to accept or honor the currency of another state.
B. Each state could make individual treaties with foreign governments.
C. Each state could maintain their own standing armies (militia) and use those armies pretty much as they saw fit. Shay's Rebellion comes quickly to mind...
D. Each state could enforce and collect taxes from citizens of other states. This was done in the form of state tariffs collected at state borders.
E. The national government had no power to levy taxes upon the individual states or the people.
F. The states were under no obligation to honor the laws of another state. It was generally believed that most states would do so but that didn't work out that way in practice. A marriage license issued in one state was not always honored in another state......the same was true with many legal documents/legal transactions.
G. Under the Articles of Confederation the national government had no executive branch.....thus no office of president.
H. Any of the 13 states had the power to block any piece of legislation dealing with amending the Articles of Confederation.
I could go on and on but you get the idea. The individual states under the Articles of Confederation had great power....much more power than the national government. All of this changed with the writing of the new federal constitution, however.
The new federal constitution took away from the states the power to coin their own money, make treaties with foreign nations; collect taxes from citizens of other states in the form of tariffs; and required each state to honor the laws of other states.
More to come...
And.....
As far as religion was concerned, several of the Founding Fathers practiced deism. That means they believed in a creator but didn't believe that the creator or god actually took an active role in the day to day lives of people. The belief in deism came from the Age of Enlightenment which most of the Founders had studied and had been greatly influenced by.....
Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin were the best examples of those Founders who believed in deism.
John Adams, the old Puritan, didn't really follow the beliefs of the Puritans. He came to believe that they didn't actually practice what they preached. He, like Jefferson & Franklin, believed that religion was strictly an individual thing and had no place in government.
Yes, Jefferson was very much afraid of a national government that had too much power and many other Founders agreed with TJ but not all.
Alexander Hamilton wanted a national government with almost unlimited power. He saw no need to have individaul states and believed that a national leader (president) should be chosen to govern for life. He believed that George Washington was that man and GW should be given the title of "king."
In the end, the Founders created a government some place between the two extreme views of Jefferson & Hamilton....
"In the end, the Founders created a government some place between the two extreme views of Jefferson & Hamilton...."
This is inaccruate.
After the 2nd Constitution, the Federal government powers was still limited and limited to only specific powers listed in the Constitution.
The state's powers were largely unlimited and left up to each state.
Yes, the Federal government was given more power in the 2nd Constitution but the states still had significant power.
All that changed after Civil War and especially after FDR got his way with the Supreme Court.
Now we have a Federal government and judical system that bullies it way with the states any time that it wants too.
How we have big big Federal government that wants to grow and consume everything in its path and it is exactly what the Democrats want.

PvtRock..... What are we going to do with you?
Everything I said is true. Sorry if the truth hurts you that much....
The Bill of Rights was added two year's after the ratification of the Constitution at the insistence of Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson was very much afraid that too much power had been given to the national government at the expense of the states and the people.
If a majority of the power of government had been left in the hands of the individual states, why was Jefferson so determined to see a Bill of Rights added to the original document?
The writing of the Constitution was largely a trade-off between those that wanted a central government with limited power and those who wanted a central government with great power.......that's not "rocket science" stuff...
You should have learned that concept some where in middle school....
Have you ever heard of the two groups that fought one another over ratification of the Constitution? Probably not.....goggle the term Federalists & then google the term Anti-Federalists and then get back to me.....
Lowbo: The 2nd Constitution limited the Federal government and yes they limited it even more with Bill of Rights which confirms my argument even more.....it still very much a state rights type of government until the Civil War.
PvtRock....
I will agree with you on your point about the continous growing power of the national government. But, it didn't start with the Civil War. Through out the history of this country, the federal government has increased its power at the expense of the states.
As far back as 1803, (Marbury v. Madison) the Supreme Court was able to increse its power at the expense of the states and the other two branches of the federal government. Chalk a big one up for John Marshall.
Other Supreme Court decisions during that time period such as Gibbons v. Ogden (1824), McCulloch v. Maryland (1819), Fletcher v. Peck (1810) and Worcester v. Georgis (1832) all increased the power and authority of not only the Supreme Court but the national government as well...
As I said earlier, the increase in federal power didn't suddenly start with the Civil War. You're very naive if you believe that...
Also, it hasn't been just the Democrat Party who has been in favor of a national government with increased power. Both parties have, from time to time, presided over and been happy about the growing power of the federal government.....
You are comparing inches to miles....there is a big difference.
From 2nd Constitution until right to the Civil War there was no major expansion of Federal powers. Of course centralized power craves more power and even with the restrictions some very little growths in power occurred.
The Legislature dominated the government. The presidents had very little and power and did very little.
The biggest attempt at expansion of Federal power was with national banking of which the Democratic Party was born in reaction and conflict to that power expansion.
PvtRock.....
You disappoint me. Your knowledge of history is very limited. Since 1803 there has been a steady & continous increase in the power and authority of the federal government. Some times the increase has been very slow in happening & other times it has been very fast...but it has never stopped!
All of the Supreme Court decisions that I listed are all good examples of decisions that increased not only the power of the Supreme Court but the power of the national government...
Some times the increase in power/authority of the national government has come about with out intervention by the Supreme Court.....
Andrew Jackson took it upon himself to enforce a federal tariff law on the state of South Carolina with out any help from the Court. Congress was happy to give Andy a piece of legislation called the Force Bill which gave the president the authority to use federal troops and collect the tariff at all South Carolina ports. The year was 1831.......30 years before the Civil War.
My point is the federal government has slowly increased its power since almost day #1. Failure to see that is a big mistake on your part......go read some history & get back to me & we'll have a good discussion.
The problem with liberals are most are followers, they need the goverment to dictate every move they make, thats why they are excited about the plan =)...
just like bush is your president not mind. if they take out anoth 5 or 7 dollars more so kids can have some type of health that o.k. with me. if they take out so your wife and daughter can have a yearly pap smears and mammogram and save them from cancer so what. that the diferrent between repub and dem. dem are caring people
Woop - woop
yes we can, then can't, then can, we can't, yes we do. And we don't.
Hope looks good e.g. Jumping to jive.
Liberals are caring people as long as someone else is paying the bill.
Here, take some free health insurance... Don't worry...No problem... Someone else will pay for it.
You want Social Security? The system is going broke, but don't worry, our children will catch it back up...
Medicare? Sure... There's plenty to go around. We will just cut services for those who need it and deserve it the most. Oh, and don't worry that Medicare is broke, we will just tax those Americans who still have some money...
Yes sir, these Liberals are caring people!!!
LarryVegas....I agree with your statement saying:
"Yes sir, these Liberals are caring people!!!"
That's the smartest thing I have heard you say in a long, long time. There's still hope for you....Bravo! Bravo!
Actually, most pieces of legislation that have been signed into law over the last 100 year's that could be classified as progressive-social legislation has been championed by liberals, mainly Democrats.
That's not to say that a few liberal Republicans haven't also made some valuable contributions....
People such as Teddy Roosevelt, for example, were very progressive and worked very hard for important changes aimed at helping each & every American.
As president, Teddy pushed through Congress the Pure Food & Drug Act; the Elkins Act; the Meat Inspection Act; the Hepburn Act; a bill establishing the Dept of Commerce and Labor; and signed into law a bill creating our National Park System. Teddy did all of this and still called himself a Republican. I find that amazing.... I wonder what party Teddy would belong to today?
Of course I don't expect to see very many liberal/progressive Republican walk that same road that Teddy walked down.....at least not in the immediate future!
The reason I say that is the fact that the GOP currently has NO progressive in its ranks....matter of fact the GOP has very few if any moderates with in the party.
It's sad but true......the GOP has chased out of the party all progressives and most moderates...
It brings up the question, how much longer can the GOP survive as an extreme right-wing party? A quick check back through history and one must come to the conclusion that an extreme right-wing Republican Party can't last more than another 10-15 years. The party will be forced to move back toward the middle of the road or die along the way...Interesting stuff....
Below has a similar tenor of LowBo's over hyped version of GOP (he has OD on koolaid....AGAIN!!!!)....just to mock him....I also over hyped my version.
The reason I say that is the fact that the Democratic Party currently has NO conservatives in its ranks....matter of fact the Democratic Party has very few if any moderates with in the party just look at what they did to Lieberman and want to do to Lieberman.
It's sad but true......the Democratic Party has chased out of the party all Conservatives and most moderates...
It brings up the question, how much longer can the Democratic Party survive as an extreme left-wing party? A quick check back through history and one must come to the conclusion that an extreme left-wing Democratic Party can't last more than another 10-15 years. The party will be forced to move back toward the middle of the road or die along the way...Interesting stuff....they most likely will lose many seats in 2010 as result of this BIG BIG government that they are constantly pushing.
Just FYI....a silly person whould say that there was a significant increase in Federal power before Civil War especially when compared to the explosion of Federal power after the Civil War. There was very little increase in Federal power before the Civil War. Most historians will say this is correct.
PvtRock......PvtRock.....A man with NO SINGLE ORIGINAL THOUGHT! He must resort to plagiarism in order to survive......poor little guy!
I must remind myself, however, that the little guy is doing what is often done by many others who sleep over on the right! Original, critical, and logical thinking has long since left the GOP.
I'm amazed that PvrRock can consistently say so much and yet have it mean so little.....
I wonder if PvtRock knows that Joe Lieberman is not really a Democrat? Probably not!
I wonder if the little guy has ever heard of the term "blue-dog Democrat?" Probably not!
I wonder if PvtRock has ever read a history book? Probably not!
I wonder if PvtRock has any ideas of how far back in our history the theory of states' rights runs? Probably not!
The last statement made by PvtRock is beyond funny. His belief that there was very little increase in Federal power before the Civil War is one of the funniest things that I have ever read. Not only that, the little guy actually believes that most historians believe that....Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!
I hope he stops saying such silly things...my side is kiling me from all of the laughing....
Hey Wolfy...
I have been thinking about something for a quite some while now, and I know you can help. Now, this is some serious business...
I quit using the word "Democrat" to describe those unhappy fellows on the far left, because there are good Democrats just like there are good Republicans. I can respect that.
I have been using the word "Liberal" to describe the haters on the left. But I know there are some good Liberals just like there are good Conservatives. I can also respect that.
Here's the tickler... What word can I use to describe those on the extreme of both parties?
Hey... How about just labeling these hateful people "political extremists?"
Be serious now, I want to be politically correct ...
Be prepared to walk precincts and we can rid ourselves of the parasites.
"I wonder if PvtRock knows that Joe Lieberman is not really a Democrat? Probably not! "
Point-Set-Match
Duh....because the Democrats ran him out the party.
PvtRock said....
Duh....because the Democrats ran him (Lieberman) out (of) the party.
Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! I believe "Say it ain't so Joe" left on his own accord. Joe still tries to give the appearance that he's a Democrat but everyone know differently... He continues to caucus with the Democrats but his influence with in the party has greatly decreased...
Joe actually decided to leave the Democrat Party when he started campaigning for McCain and gave a speech at the GOP National Convention...
Talk about keeping one head in the sand....LowBo beats them all.
I guess LowBo must have been asleep when the Democrats ran a person against in Lieberman in his primary for US Senate and many of his follow Democratic Senators supported his opponent.
Sad....really sad......LowBo is in total denial about the truth of his own party purge.
You need to stop drinking so much koolaid.
Again, PvtRock talks and talks and says little.....that's truly amazing.
This letter, like so many others like it, was written by someone connected to the Clark Couty Democratic (Joke!) Central Committee.
LowBo....LowBo....sad...really sad....living in total denial...
Just a FYI....you do know that the Democrats ran him out the party BEFORE he supported McCain and BEFORE he gave his GOP convention speech.
Sad....really sad...how does the sand taste?
Wolfie: we have room for you in the Libertarian Big Tent.
PvtRock.....you're amazing. You have this habit of "cherry picking" information and then trying to run with it despite the fact that the information isn't always true.
Lieberman was squarely beaten in his primary run for re-election to the U.S. Senate. Instead of being a good Democrat and backing the man who beat him, Joe ran as an independent and won the general election.
In my opinion, that showed that Joe really wasn't much of Democrat...he was all about Joe.
Joe could not have won the general election if he had not received "big bucks" from the many insurance giants that call Connecticut home (His wife works as a lobbyist for them & has been paid millions of dollars in salary by them...)
Once Joe won re-election, he went back to Washington as a representative of "big insurance"........In other words, he had been bought & paid for....
That's why Joe did not vote for the public option....the passage of the public option would have cost "big insurance" millions, maybe billions of dollars...
It's interesting that Joe, when running for the Vice-Presidency, went around the country speaking & pushing for the public option. I can well remember what he said in his V.P debate with Cheney about a public option...
What does that tell any sane & logical person about Joe? Joe is all for Joe! Joe has been bought & paid for by "big insurance."
All true....no spin! I'm sure you don't believe it and I would be surprised if you did. Who has their head in the sand? It's not me my little friend!
I know like that guy either. Sgtcrack you should not support guy like that. he messed up Senior reids plan of taking rich peoples money, and making free health care.

Hey Jaun,
The local ACORN office is giving away free cheese and butter to those who sign voter registration cards as Democrats. Take your entire family. Even the little ones can sign up and get free goodies...
What a moron who wrote this. No wonder our country has gone to the dogs with people like this.
Those Acorn people are always welcome at our home. Last year we made lots of $$$$ for registering to vote for obama !
PvtRock.....
While we're talking about one of your hero's, I thought it would be nice to give you a little additional information on "say it ain't so Joe."
I mention earlier that Joe is in the back pocket of "big insurance." That's true, but Joe has also sold his soul to the pharmaceutical people and the real estate industries. According to the following article, Joe received 11 million dollars for his 2006 re-election campaign from those three groups alone...
Enjoy.....
From the article:
"In Lieberman's 2006 reelection campaign and his bolting of the Democratic Party, he was bankrolled to the tune of $11 million in campaign contributions and political action cash from the insurance, health, finance, and real estate industries. He was the nation's top recipient of pharmaceutical cash and second-leading recipient of insurance industry money."

Comment not removed by staff.
6 years after America adopted Neo-Con policies, if not for the bold action of President Obama and Senator Reid, America's economy faced imminent collapse.
As health care costs threaten to strangle our nation's future and Insurance executives put profits above our lives, President Obama and Senator Reid have made a bold attempt to rectify that.
As the world and nation suffered from an administration that allowed (intentionally or not) the worst terrorist attack in our history, a criminally incompetent response to Hurricane Katrina causing numerous human tragedies, "Closet Christian Supremacist War Profiteers" rejoiced.
"Closet Christian Supremacists" easily turn a blind eye to the trillions of dollars and thousands of American lives plundered by the Neo-Con's prosecution of an unnecessary war, promoted by their war profiteer connections.
As the "Baggers and Birther's" scare tactics of '09 reveal themselves as unfounded, maybe 2010 should see investigations into:
1. Bush's shadow government.
2. Dick Cheney's damage to the C.I.A. and her agents.
3. Numerous violations of the U.S. Constitution, including the very exact same "enhanced interrogation techniques", we executed the Japanese leaders for. (just to name a few)
Maybe 2010 will be a good year to show the haters of Sen. Reid and the President, (those who want us to return to the disastrous policies of the Neo-Cons) what enemies of the Constitution really look like.
Here it goes again... It's Bush's fault. It's got to be Bush's fault. Everything is Bush's fault.
Maybe 2020 will see investigations into Harry Reid bribes to Senators to buy their votes...
Yes,Larry it's all bush's fault.
So much hate. A country divided 50/50. This is why we can't even win a war any more.
Kaliscanner;
EXACTLY.
Well...We should never forget......
BUSH NEARLY DESTROYED AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!
He did so much damage to this nation, it will take years to recover.
Whenever I think about voting for a Faux Republican, I remind myself how disastrous that could be.
BUSH NEARLY DESTROYED AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!
I say investigate them all.
Only thing worse than a Democrat is a Neo-Con Republican!
The greatness of American democracy allows the chronic crazy posters to write their vitriolic,
angry, not the least bit constructive criticisms of the government each time the Sun posts the word "government".
You all know who you are.
Fairy tales of Republic government, "semi libertarian" dogma, ignorant pseudo facts,
insults and name calling of others who post.
I could just quit reading the comments but interspersed with you self congratulating, back patting, good old boy pablum.are a few intelligent arguments and thoughtful posts.
The strongest argument from the "pseudo libertarians" who post above is no matter how convincing or true other postings may be, they refuse to be swayed by any truth but their own.
Lowbo sitting in the corner yelling, screaming with one hand over his eyes and the other other his ears.
Liberman was a Democrat until the Democrats ran him out of the party. In his primary, they ran a candidate against him only because of his stand on the Iraq war. Many Senate Democrats endorsed his challenger.
He still votes about 90% of the time with Democrats.
Now....you can go back and start yelling and screaming and burying your head into the sand and babbling about Republicans doing purges while ignoring your own party purges.
Federal government has no business making social policies. Just more of their over-reaching of what should be left to local and state governments.
Try using some common sense instead of TV talking points.
"Yes we can" have a lot of things if someone else will pay for them...
No truer words were ever spoken by a Liberal...
I just read where the OPbama's didn't make it to church for Christmas and only attended services on three occasions during all of 2009.
I have two words for everyone: closet Muslim.
Great letter. I'm amazed at how hysterically absurd these right-wingers are. When their healthcare goes down, they are going to owe Harry Reid a big thank you.
PvtRock.....PvtRock....
You are so predictable....You have run out of anything logical or truthful to say so you have decided , in a desperate attempt to stay in the debate, to simply attack me....
Did you read the article that I gave you the link to....? Probably not! Why am I not surprised?
Joe, "I'm an Independent" Lieberman is squarely in the back pocket of special interests groups.......big insurance, pharmaceutical people and the real estate industries.
I see that you completely ignored that information....that's not surprising for a guy who runs away from the truth and sticks his head in the sand......Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!
A few Democrats decided to back someone other than Joe during the 2006 Senate primary race in Connecticut......is that something that NEVER happens in that type of situation?
Has a sitting president ever been denied the nomination for re-election by his party?
Both are valid history questions that you don't have a clue about.... I told you earlier to go away & read some history & then get back to me after you have done that..... we could then have a great discussion.....
That's still good advice for a guy who runs away from truthful information and ignores anything that does not fit his agenda...
Here's the link again.....don't stick your head in the sand....read the article! Ha! Ha! Ha!

The cost of health care will down as soon as the government gets out of the health care business and start enforcing immigration laws...
PvtRock......I have to ask....

Rita, my little poster....Are you saying that the federal government should never do anything in the area of social policy? Do I have that right?
Hmmmmm.....I guess the feds were wrong to force the integration of Little Rock Central High School in 1957...is that what you're saying?
Do you also believe that the 1964 Civil Rights Act was wrong, as well as the 1965 Voting Rights Act?
Despite the fact that both local and state governments refused to deal with the very wrong segregation situations that existed at Little Rock Central (and through out the South..) and many blacks were being denied their right to vote, the feds should have done NOTHING....
Is that what you're saying? Please explain...
the writer should rewrite it to 'yes the corporations can'
LowBo is funny.
He babbles about Republicans doing a pruge and when I bring up the Democrats' purge of Lieberman then he just rabbles on about why Lieberman is not a Democrat.
Chew on this dude......Lieberman votes over 90% with Democrats and there are 11 other Democrats who vote less than does Lieberman.
Hmmmmm.....I am sure Senators like Nelson are also not "democrats" either.
Hurry up.....purge Nelson out of the party because he also is owned by the insurance companies too. He has lower party line voting record. Chop, chop....hurry....run somebody against Nelson.
I notice that you stop babbling about Republicans purging.

Michael,
I have 2 words for you;
Fear Mongering.
Nice trip?
P.S.
That darn Drudge Report has turned into the Neo-Con National Enquirer.
gregory: thank you. Actually, I spend most of my leisure moments at Breitbart. You should try it.
PvtRock........what have you been drinking?
What ever it is, stop drinking it! It's rotting your brain.....Let me correct that....It's rotting what ever is left of your brain...
The 91.4 figure on Lieberman is not the percentage of the times that he voted with the Democrats. It's the percentage of the times he voted with the Independents...... that's out of 383 votes taken....
Thank you for the link.....you did my work for me! What a guy that Rock is......Ha! Ha! Ha!
Nice spin but NO CIGAR!
Nothing changes the fact that this expensive bill that will alter the country is being crammed down our throats. I would be surprised if there is even one representative that has read the entire bill.
There are so many holes in the comments but whether this is a good or bad bill is not the entire argument. Does the government have the right to send you a bill for health care just because you are alive? A couple senators have said that the same thing happens with auto insurance. That is not the same. If I don't drive I don't have to pay for car insurance. There has not been enough debate on the bill and there has been too much done behind closed doors in the "most transparent White House and Senate". The repubs had a plan that was completely disregarded. This does not scream bipartisan effort that Obama promised. Lets also not forget that the bill states that the taxes would be effective in 2010 and benefits would not be given until 2014. You don't think this was done to adjust the numbers do you? The other question is can we afford it. I may really really want a new car but I shouldn't buy it if I am already if financial ruin.
Slow done. Bush was a moron when it came to economics but he is not responsible for all the problems. Barnie Frank and was aware of the upcoming fannie mae and freddie mac problems but said nothing. The Tarp program (Bush and Paulsen) was a stupid plan. Obama continued the TARP Program and continued with the war and quadrupled the deficit.
Slow down!!!!
I am not a demorcrat or republican but most of the comments on here from democrats just sound like angry ranting, you guys should really work on your deliverance, because you speak with emotion but no facts to back it up =(
PvtRock.....
Did you do your homework and actually read the article I linked for you? Be honest now! Don't lie & don't run-off and hide or stick your head in the sand...
You should think about being a lot more up front with what you post.....by the way, do you have a link that says that Nelson votes less with the Democrats than Lieberman does? Do you have a link that says that he has received more money from "big insurance" than Lieberman has?Probaby not.......
You just expect me to take your word for that????
That's funny......Ha! Ha! Ha!
Lowbo
http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congr...
Here are some 99 key important votes he voted on of which he voted with Democrats 93% of the time.
Just to give a big FYI, there only two independent party members in the Senate. One declares himself an actual member of the Socialist Party of America. Lieberman voted with him over 91% of the time.
So again Mr. Purge......Nelson does not have the same party line voting record as Lieberman and he is in the pocket of insurnace companies like Lieberman.
When are you going to purge Nelson from the party, too? According to you...he is not a Democrat either.
Here is some more info to help with your purge of the non-Democrat Nelson of Nebraska.
Nelson only votes 73% of the time with Democrats.
http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congr...
Looks like you guys targeted the wrong guy.
Nelson is 3rd according to this in getting PAC money from Health Insurance Companies (Please note Lieberman even did not make it on the list).
http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2009/06/s...
This article shows Nelson's ties to the insurance industy.
http://www.campaignmoney.org/healthcare/...
This article list Nelson as number 5 in receiving money from insurances companies. (please note that Lieberman did not the list)
http://www.portfolio.com/views/blogs/hea...
Just a FYI, Nelson is against the public option, too.
I guess now all you have left is do more rants and babblings since you have absolutely no facts to support your idiocy.
... LAMO!!! Bush/Cheney = 2 WARS, 1.2 MILLION dead Iraqi children, women-&-men, 5,000 + DEAD American military, 1,000's INJURED forever, $3-TRILLION, thee BIGGEST-Bank-BAILOUT/ROBBERY in HISTORY, TRASHING thee U.S. Constitution, etc.!!! OH: & 9/11!!!
PvtRock......
When did I say that Nelson wasn't a Democrat? Please go back, copy & paste where I said that very thing....again, you are just talking to be talking. That's what you do best....Ha! Ha! Ha!
Again, how much money has Nelson received from "big insurance?" Lieberman received some where in the ball park (along with the pharmaceutical people and the real estate people) approximately 11 million dollars in 2006 alone.
It's not up to me if (and when) Nelson will be "purged" from the party. I don't look for that to happen. "Joe Joe" lieberman left the party pretty much on his own...
By the way, here's a simple little trivia question for you...put on your "thinking cap."
Who was the first & only sitting president to be refused the nonination of his party for re-election?
PvtRock.....
This is from the article that you didn't read but should have....as you can see, in 2006 (the year "Joe Joe" won re-election to the Senate) "he was the nation's top recipient of pharmaceutical cash and second-leading recipient of insurance industry money.
How many different ways can you say 11 million dollars....? That was about the time that George W. Bush called Joe, for the 100th time, "My favorite Democrat."
The article:
"In Lieberman's 2006 reelection campaign and his bolting of the Democratic Party, he was bankrolled to the tune of $11 million in campaign contributions and political action cash from the insurance, health, finance, and real estate industries. He was the nation's top recipient of pharmaceutical cash and second-leading recipient of insurance industry money."
shanfrina has lost traction and is spinning around like a toy top. Slow down shanfrina and get some traction if you can. Pick up a newspaper and you will read that Bush is no longer President.
Now you can substitute Obama's name in place of Bush's and all is the same...
Ben Nelson made his fortune as an insurance executive.
Hello!!!!!?????
Lowbo.....You keep making statements that Liberman left the party.....You guys ran against the sitting Senator in his primary and many Senate Democrats endorsed his opponent....you must have a brain freeze or something.
Again......you stated that Lieberman is not a Democrat because he sold out to pharms and insurance companies.
Using that same logic...Nelson is just as bad.
I guess he does not pass the Democrat litmus test either.
You guys need to run a candidate against him too and have your Democratic Senators endorse his opponent, too.
So far the Democrats have done a very good job as far as the slogan "yes we can" goes.
For example: Under Obama's presidency, the first terrorist attack on America resulted in the terrorist taken into custody, no lives lost, no economic turmoil.
Under George W. Cokehead's presidency, the first terrorist attack on America resulted in the death of thousands of American's, Trillions of $$$ lost on two unwinnable (and never ending)wars, the stock market crashing because of it, etc, etc, etc.
Scorecard so far in keeping this country safe:
Obama: +1
gwb: -1
I think you need to correct your score.
This was the 2nd Mulism terrorist attack on Obama's watch.
Here is the score
Obama 0 (-1, +1)
gwb +1.5 (-.5 WTC #2 was half Bush and half Clinton, +2 at least attacks were defeated, )
Clinton -3.5 (WTC #1 -1, Embassy attacks -1, Cole Attack -1, 2000 attack +1, WTC #2 -.5)
What is really funny is that the Obama adminstration said on Sunday that their system worked?
What? Oh.....I get it.....they are relying on avg Joe and avg Jane to jump on the terrorists at the last minute.....good system.
Where do I go to get the Obama "Jump on the Terrorists" training?
Hmmmmm......No surprises from the "rock."
The same old, same old....... the rant goes on & on & on & on.....
It can almost be compared to watching paint dry!
I think the republicans should use the "yes we can" slogan... Then they can say:
YES WE CAN do nothing when hurricane Katrina hit!
YES WE CAN allow 9/11 to happen!
YES WE CAN invade a country that had nothing to do with 9/11!
YES WE CAN allow the mortgage meltdown to happen!
YES WE CAN select The Quitter as our VP candidate!
YES WE CAN do nothing to support this country!
That's a darn good start.
Liberals are in need of a little traction. They are spinning like little toy tops. Do you remember the little toy tops what whistled and made noise when they were spinning?
Today's liberal toy tops spin and make little noises like "yes we can," "change you can believe in" and other assorted annoying noises.
What might be annoying to a conservative is often very sweet music to a liberal.
I never realized it when I was growing up but the "little train that could" was a progressive little train moving forward and never taking no for an answer.
That little train loved challenges and welcomed change. It was not afraid of what may lay around the next curve in the track, and it always knew that the next mountain to be climbed always led to a beautiful valley below....
Toot! Toot! I know I can, I know I can, I know I can....
@ Lobo
I have read your argument with SGtRock and though I agree with him I believe you have won the argument. But despite your and other liberals stance that you are critcal thinkers, your naive and unwarranted trust in government and regurgitation of civic-textbook sounding cliches about progress and a caring government have little basis in reality. From your posts I believe you are an intelligent person, but honestly, do you believe government-run programs are actually doing what they are supposed to do? Do you think that they aren't expensive and inefficient? If not you're in a liberal dream-world where our government is caring and always does what's best for us.
The matter of the fact is, that whenever you've taken something for granted too long (in your case the competency of big government) a time set aside to reevaluate it is healthy and necassary. For too long have people just accepted the bullsh*t that government has given us, from both Democrats and Republicans. For too long have people just assumed that our government always does things in the people's best interests. All of us need to take a serious evaluation of where our country is headed. I for one am skeptical of what people in Washington tell me, regardless of political party, because im not a sheep. Hopefully people will wake up and do the same.

LOL LarryVegas, I like your posts. What's with the angry liberals ranting and raving?
mrabilty,
If the economy makes a true recovery because we spent our way out of trouble (like the pres says it should) and we don't get slammed with inflation and the dollar isn't replaced, I will give Obama a round of applause. But if jobs don't come back (real private sector jobs, not government jobs) and if the economy remains in bad shape, will you give Obama the boot?
Obama's Systemic Failure Leads to Jet Attack...
Janet Napolitano is completely right when she talked about how the system worked in taking down the attempted terrorist attack.
President Obama was able to monitor the entire situation, all the while playing golf.
George W. Crackhead couldn't even keep his crayon coloring within the lines when 1000's of people were being killed while he was on watch.
So, we have a system that works under President Obama (no loss or life or property) while we have the NY City skyline changed forever under George W. Crackhead (along with a trillion $$ war against a country that did nothing against us, the highest rate of military suicides in history because of continued deployments, etc).
Thank God for President Obama being our leader and for his forward thinking programs put in place to keep us safe.
Obama has a familiar pattern for dealing with unexpected problems that arise...
The Obama damage control strategy consists of these 5 easy steps:
Step 1: Deny seriousness of issue.
Step 2: Deny any admin responibility/failure.
Step 3: Have spokespeople convey O's feelings to public.
Step 4: Blame Bush admin.
Step 5: Concede the issue days later.
What do the Republicans and Abdul Mudallad have in common?
They're both involved in suicide missions!!!
(and both are failures as well)
Five thousand comedians out of work in Vegas and some Liberals want to be comedians...
Are the republicans saying exactly what it is they can do?
The republicans had everything their way during this past decade...
George W. Crackhead had a 90% approval rating (gag), the republicans had both houses of Congress (remember those days - when Hannity would whine about how votes should be decided by 51 votes in the Senate? That cry baby now sings a different tune these days) and the republicans spent money like a certain drunken AWOL sailor.
Republicans - you had it all. It's your own fault you also lost it all.
There's nothing you can do for this country. Nothing.
Hey anyone know if me and my children are going to get our acorn money next election. Last year been really tough. I heard that the food stamp allocation was going to get raised, but me and the family really need are obama vote money !!
Sorry Jaun, there will be no money this year. The Democrats will divert all the money to their re election campaigns.
There will be plenty of money available in 2012 when Barry Obama runs for re election. Then the ACORN coffers will be full of government money to buy votes, just like Harry did to buy votes for the failed Obama health care...

These radicals have lost all traction in their lives and are spinning around in circles.
They have lost all sense of values in their life. All they know is how to hate...
Yes, most of us do have values. If one does not have any values, they are doomed to a life of ignorance and hate...
Democrats have lost traction again and are spinning in circles.
Russ Limbaugh's audience nearly doubled from 14.2 million to about 25 million after he said that he hoped that Mr Obama "failed"...
