Crash scene
A motorcyclist was seriously injured Saturday afternoon when he veered into the oncoming lane of traffic on North Las Vegas Boulevard and hit four vehicles in a left-turn lane, Metro Police said.
The motorcycle rider, Michael Young, 39, of Las Vegas was taken to University Medical Center, police said. None of the drivers or passengers in the other vehicles — two cars and two sport utility vehicles — were injured.
The crash happened about 3:40 p.m., just north of Walnut Road in the northeast valley.
The motorcycle was headed south and the other vehicles were stopped in the northbound turn lane, police said.
Police said they do not know what caused the motorcycle to cross into the opposite lane. The crash is under investigation by Metro’s Accident Investigation Section.
