Paul D. Braun, 65, of Henderson died Aug. 10.
Born Dec. 23, 1943, in Chicago, he graduated from Rich East High School and attended the Art Institute of Chicago. He served in the Army as a staff sergeant from 1967 to 1969.
Paul worked as a sergeant at the Club Hills Police Department and as a lieutenant at the Cook Sheriff's Deputy Office. He also owned and worked at a Jewelry shop. His passions included painting, riding horses and constructing Indian beadwork.
He was a devoted husband to Susan Samans and their sons Brian and Evan. Paul remarried to Christina Schefke and was a loving father to her sons Mike and Aaron.
A memorial service will be held Oct. 14 at his home.
LaPaloma Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
