John Alfred Hansen Jr., 57, of Henderson died Aug. 20 at a local hospice.

A lifetime resident of Clark County, he was born Jan. 30, 1952, at Nellis Air Force Base and attended St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School and Basic High School.

He is survived by wife, April Hansen of Las Vegas; stepchildren Thomas Lassiter and Amber White of Las Vegas; parents, Donna P. Newton and John A. Hansen Sr., of Henderson; siblings Rita P. Riemer, Stuart A. Hansen and Marcie D. Hansen of Henderson; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Aug. 31 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway.

Sunrise Crematory handled the arrangements.
