Halley C. Mortenson, 78, died Aug. 16 at a local long-term care facility.
A Henderson resident since 1962, she was born Jan. 1, 1931, in Kansas City, Mo. She was a retired school bus driver. She loved baseball, sewing, crossword puzzles and playing cards.
She is survived by her children Michael Mortenson of Henderson, Patrick Mortenson and wife Renee of Henderson, Brian Mortenson of Henderson, Peter Mortenson and wife Valerie of Las Vegas, Erin and husband Bill of Las Vegas, Colleen and husband Chuck Bain of California, and Tammy Merjil and husband Manny of Las Vegas; sisters Lois Luckini of New Mexico and Theresa Lanza of Kansas; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 22 at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, with services and interment following.
