Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid released details today for a telephone town hall meeting planned for Aug. 28.
Online registration for the "tele-town hall" meeting on health insurance reform is available at reid.senate.gov. The call will be toll-free and is open to all Nevadans, but only those with a Nevada phone number will be able to participate.
Residents who register on Reid's Web site -- providing their name, phone number and e-mail address -- will receive a call before the meeting begins. The time of the event hasn't been announced.
Reid’s office said earlier this month it's opting to have the telephone town halls to avoid the shouting matches and microphone speeches that have erupted at events across the country.
