A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle near Woodlawn Cemetery, according to Metro.
A witness and evidence at the scene indicates that Jorge Avendano-Osuna, 29, was staggering southbound on the sidewalk on the east side of Bruce Street Friday at around 11:50 p.m., according to a report from detective William Redfairn.
Elizabeth Guerra, 27, was driving a 1996 Isuzu truck northbound on Bruce Street when Avendano-Osuna staggered into the roadway in front of the truck, the report says, and was transported to University Medical Center where he was admitted in critical condition.
The accident remains under investigation.
