Letter to the Editor:
Politicians mostly put their own needs first
Monday, Aug. 3, 2009 | 2:01 a.m.
Last week the Associated Press ran a report on Sens. Chris Dodd and Kent Conrad, both Democrats.
It seems that Countrywide Financial Corp. gave them both uniquely favorable treatment on their mortgages. The two senators said they were not aware of such favorable treatment. (They also are not aware that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.)
For many years I have said the majority of our elected officials have their self-interest as their first priority. The second is their party. You guessed right if you thought the people come in last.

No surprise here. We the little people just don't get that the "elite" of this country cannot possibly live life as we. From health care to mortgages, etc.
And, even better? We elect these immoral idiots again and again. That's the definition of crazy!!!
The problem here is that the whole system is rigged in favor of big money know matter what candidate wins he or she is already bought and paid for.
