Updated Saturday, April 11, 2009 | 12:41 p.m.

A power outage occurred at 4:16 a.m. this morning at the intersection of Buffalo Drive and Ducharme Avenue, south of Summerlin Parkway, as the result of a single-vehicle accident.

No injuries were reported.

A power pole was sheared off, causing outages at an unknown number of homes west of Buffalo from Westcliff to Alta drives.

The power had been restored by 12:30 p.m., according to an NV Energy spokeswoman.

The driver, who was alone at the time, was arrested for DUI, according to Metro reports.
