Fatal collision
A pedestrian was killed this morning after he ran into a double-tanker truck in North Las Vegas.
North Las Vegas Police responded at 9:16 a.m. to the incident at Civic Center Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard. Investigators said a 47-year-old man ran in between the first tanker and second tanker as the truck entered the intersection.
The man, whose name wasn't being released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the 34-year-old driver of the 2005 Freightliner Double Fuel Tanker wasn't at fault. This is the first fatal traffic-related incident in North Las Vegas this year.
