Motorcycle crash
UPDATE: Motorcyclist killed in crash was ex-UNR football player, soldier
A 24-year-old Henderson man has died from injuries he suffered while being thrown from his motorcycle after striking a palm tree, the Henderson Police Department said this morning.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified him as Matthew Martin Sneck.
Investigators said Sneck was riding his 2002 Kawasaki ZX-12 at a high rate of speed at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in an area west of Lake Mead Parkway and south of Desert Wetlands Park. Sneck was southbound on Olivia Parkway, near its intersection with Via Palermo drive, when he struck a curb, lost control and struck the tree, police said.
Sneck, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle after the collision, authorities said. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Speed was a factor in the crash and a toxicology test will be conducted to determine whether drugs or alcohol might have been factors, authorities said. A cause and manner of death hasn’t yet been released by the coroner.
This is the sixth fatal accident in Henderson this year.

Feel free to have an opinion, everyone does, but be respectful. He was like a brother to me, and I will defend his honor in any capacity needed. To know him you would realize that there is no need to take shots at this time. He was a good man. Let it be.
I agree. Have a little respect for the family and friends that loved him. Everyone makes mistakes...exactly why it is called an accident. No one is perfect...not even you vegasvegas. Why don't we try to educate the other motorcyclists out there, to keep them from making the same mistakes. So their families do not have to go through the same heartache.
Matt, you were a such a good guy. you will be missed by so many!

The staff here are a pretty sensitive bunch, people can name-call around here but if you have an opinion about something, the comment nazis get rolling. Do we need to get captcha going?
It's never good to lose someone, but the roadways in Vegas have become dangerous. I'm sure this person will be missed but be thankful this wasn't an article talking about more than one person.
In just recent months, there's been a lot of this in the news. Motorcycles in this town aren't safe.

Careful Rocco, unless you're expressing sympathies and claiming to have known the person, the Sun is pretty delete-happy with your post.
Apparently we're insensitive, despite the fact the person was breaking the law and possibly putting a lot of other people at risk, we have to just be sorry and leave it at that.
/whatever...typical Vegas news site.
