Teen found dead on Las Vegas sidewalk identified

Juvenile found

A juvenile who was gunned down on Thursday evening on the sidewalk on Stanley Avenue has been identified as 16-year-old Luis Manual Bernabe.

Stanley Avenue is in northeast Las Vegas, near Nellis Boulevard and Owens Avenue.

Metro Police responded to calls of gunshots in the area about 5:14 p.m. When they arrived, they found the victim with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.

He was taken to University Medical Center where he died from his injuries at about 6 p.m., the Clark County Coroner’s Office said.

The coroner has ruled his death a homicide from multiple projectile wounds.

Investigators have no suspect or vehicle descriptions at this time. Police ask that anyone with information contact the Homicide Section at 828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 to remain anonymous.
