FLASHPOINT:
Gibbons getting what’s coming to him
Monday, Sept. 22, 2008 | 2:01 a.m.
If anyone is reaping what he has sown, it is Gov. Jim Gibbons. The fallout over his filing for divorce and then his maneuvers — sealing the case, then trying to boot first lady Dawn Gibbons from the mansion and now his pulling her state security — continues. On Friday she filed a motion through her bulldog lawyer, Cal Dunlap, to force the governor to pay for private security now that the governor has taken away her “dignitary detail.” The governor actually has tried to distance himself from the decision, with his spokesman risibly saying it was made “at the senior staff level.” Oh sure. I can hear the senior staffers now: “Hey, maybe we should pull Dawn’s security. Wonder how that will go over?” How’s the reaping feel, Governor?

So why is it that Dawn Gibbons needs security?
Nevada is going broke and all Jon Ralston can think about is paying for Dawn's security when she goes to Starbuck.
Go figure.
