LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
Why ‘pit bull’ fits Republicans to a T
Mon, Sep 8, 2008 (2:03 a.m.)
After listening to Sarah Palin’s speech Wednesday, I almost thought I was watching Tina Fey on “Saturday Night Live.” She delivered a well-written, well-crafted speech (by some of the best speechwriters in the party), containing some great one-liners. The best was her distinction between a hockey mom and a pit bull: lipstick.
If she considers herself a pit bull, then she fits right in with the Republican Party. They have proved time and again they are vicious attack dogs, their main goal being to destroy without scruples. Remember what they did in 2000 within their own party (Bush slanders McCain) and remember what they did in 2004 to John Kerry (Swift Boat Kerry).
I did notice in her speech what was not mentioned: the economy, the home foreclosures, the ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the unemployed due to jobs abroad, education, health insurance. She not once indicated just how she will help to implement the solution to all these problems.
And for her to compare her experience with Joe Biden’s is ludicrous. A governor for not quite two years against a senator of more than 35 years. When did we become a nation where our priorities consist of abortion, evangelicals and hockey moms?

And for them to compare Obama's experience with Joe Biden’s is ludicrous. A part-time US senator for 3 years against a senator of more than 35 years.
An introduction speech at a national convention is and has been no place, historically, for specifics. Obama didn't have any in his "Grecian -Column" speech, Biden didn't have any and to whine about specifics is typical liberal hypocrisy

"When did we become a nation where our priorities consist of abortion, evangelicals and hockey moms?"
Abortion has been the remaining liberal political priority for decades. Even this holy grail of liberal politics is burning out with, ims, 65-70% of Americans who do not want unfettered abortion abilities in America. WHEN Roe v Wade is overturned - the abortion issue will return to their legal entity, the States.
Evangelicals = when they turn out, Republicans win. Demonizing religion IS the total perview of the LSD. Thus from a uber-lib like the writer, the constant lying and bad-mouthing of anything positive regarding this LARGE political constituency IS an essential piece of this.
Hockey Moms /Soccer Moms / Moms in general are a politically difficult constituency to bad-mouth, but as Boenig screeds his form-letters to the Socialist Sun, it's no problem as there is nothing BUT "THE Party"(mq) to worship and bow down to.
It sure IS nice to know that Boenig conceded that a nation of hockey moms, evangelicals and the ongoing infanticide of abortion IS how the nation is at this time, despite Democrats continual lying about that.
